Swooper's monitors watched Target's Pokémon TCG inventory continuously for 29 days and recorded 104 restock detections. Not one landed during normal shopping hours. Here's every number, and what it means for when you should be watching.

Why overnight? These are the moments Target's site flips an item from out-of-stock to purchasable — inventory syncs, not trucks arriving. Those syncs run on a backend schedule that has nothing to do with store hours, which is why the pattern is so lopsided and why refreshing during the day rarely catches anything.

Methodology

How this was measured.

  • Source. Swooper's own Target monitor, which polls product availability continuously and logs a detection the moment an item becomes purchasable.
  • Window. July 7, 2026 – August 4, 2026 (29 days of continuous monitoring).
  • Sample. 104 restock detections and 21 scheduled drops across 25 tracked Pokémon TCG products, 14 of which restocked at least once.
  • Timezone. All times converted to US Eastern.
  • What it is not. This measures online inventory flips at target.com, not in-store shelf stocking. It reflects the products Swooper tracks, not Target's entire catalogue — a larger or different product set could shift the distribution.
